Rte 114, Asylum Rd.Locally know as Sand Hill Cove Beach. Popular beach for young children, fully-protected by breakwater. No pets allowed.
100 Sand Hill Cove Rd.Is a popular beach with fishermen, especially along the jetty at its north end. For beachgoers, the jetty is a challenging walk. The beach is typically not crowded and is peaceful. From here, you can watch sail and power boats entering New Harbor, and view the grounds at the former Coast Guard Station. Parking is available at the end of Champlin Road. No amenities.
Coast Guard Rd./Champlin Rd.Restroom without shower facilities. Day use parking for 100 cars, boat ramp and parking area for trailers. Lifeguard on duty. No animals allowed. Seventy-five campsites. No utilities. All camping must be self-contained. No tents.
Route 1Fine sand and moderate to heavy surf, occasional undertow. Adjacent to Charlestown Breachway. No pets allowed.

East Beach RoadNewport's only ocean beach. Located adjacent to the famous Cliff Walk. Outdoor skateboard park, weekly free summer concerts, seasonal carousel, Save the Bay’s "Exploration Center.” Banquet Hall available for corporate and private functions. Free use of over sand wheelchairs. Rental cabañas, rental beach chairs, surf boards, boogie boards and umbrellas. Children's playground, covered picnic pavilion, seasonal snack bar, beach store with souvenirs. Public restrooms, indoor and outdoor cold water showers. No dogs permitted Memorial Day through Oct. 1.

Fogland Rd.The second largest bastioned fort in the U.S. Key to Narragansett Bay area defenses, 1799 to 1945. Designed to be the most heavily armed fort in America and to garrison 2,400 troops. Three tiers of guns defended Narragansett Bay's East Passage. Situated at the mouth of the Newport Harbor, offers panoramic view of both Newport Harbor and the East Passage of Narragansett Bay. Activities including salt water bathing, fishing, boating, soccer, rugby and picnicking. Fort Adams is perhaps best known for its annual summer concerts when the jazz and folk festivals draw thousands to enjoy the music and beautiful surroundings.
Harrison Ave.Known locally as Crescent Beach. Menu offering salads and burgers. Chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards available to rent on a daily basis. Once called State Beach, it is now owned and operated by the town. Lifeguards are on duty from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Corn Neck Rd.Goddard Park attracts thousands of visitors each year as Rhode Island’s most popular Metropolitan Park. The park offers a beautiful natural environment with spacious lawns, fields, and forested areas with a variety of trees from all over the world, including sixty-two deciduous and nineteen evergreen species. Visitors can make use of a newly renovated saltwater beach and bathhouse, a nine hole golf course, an equestrian show area, eighteen miles of bridle trails, 355 picnic tables, eleven game fields, and a new performing arts center for weddings, concerts, picnics and special events.

Off Corn Neck Rd.Half mile of state beach with clean, clear water with low surf zone. There is parking for 2,100 cars at state facility. Large new pavilion, shade structures, coin operated hot showers, cold showers, changing rooms, First-Aid, concessions, restrooms.
257 Atlantic AvenueHalf-mile public beach with two full-service pavilions featuring lifeguards, food concessions, restrooms, first aid and is handicap accessible. Rental cabanas, picnic areas, changing rooms, boardwalk for beach access. Recreational programming. Surfing lessons and leagues, aerobics classes, junior lifeguard program, musical concerts, sand castle contests, volleyball leagues, triathlon, kite festival and pumpkin festival.
Boston Neck Rd.Narrow, gravel, shaded lawn beach with a retaining wall and picnic tables behind it.
Beach St.Bay inlet beach. Saltwater beach, restaurants nearby. Boat ramp on Bay Ave.
Oakland Beach Ave.Sandy, clean, pretty beach. Gentle surf with breakwater shelter. No undertow, gradual drop, near fishing port. Great for kids.
254 Great Island Rd.Clean, sandy beach. Moderate to heavy surf with occasional strong undertow. Excellent for body surfing or boarding. Two large new pavilions. Shade structures, observation tower. Coin operated hot showers, cold showers, changing rooms, First-Aid, concessions.
